PDFgear

What PDFgear is

A PDF application with AI added. The usual work of editing, converting, compressing, merging and signing is covered, and a chatbot helps when you need to understand a long document.

It is available as desktop software and online.

What you can do with it

• Read, edit and convert PDFs
• Compress and merge files
• Sign documents
• Ask questions about a document
• Summarise long material
• Work on desktop or in a browser

Who it is for

• Students and office staff
• Legal assistants
• Administrative teams
• Frequent PDF users

What to watch out for

• AI chat assists understanding: check content integrity and formatting before signing or submitting anything official
• Sensitive documents need a check on where files are processed
• Complex formatting may not survive editing
• Confirm the licence terms if used commercially
