AgentMail

Email infrastructure that gives AI agents their own mailbox

Visit official site

What AgentMail is

Email infrastructure for AI agents. It gives an agent its own mailbox and the full set of email operations, exposed through an API and SDK, with webhooks so events reach your system.

It exists because email is harder for agents than it looks: identity, authentication, HTML bodies, attachments, threading and deliverability are each their own problem, and MFA or OAuth flows stop most bot integrations early.

What you can do with it

  • Create a mailbox for an agent and attach a custom domain
  • Send, receive, reply and manage threads
  • Parse inbound HTML and attachments
  • Query message history so an agent can refer back to what was said
  • Receive webhook callbacks for mail events
  • Rely on SPF, DKIM and DMARC being handled by the platform

Who it is for

  • Developers building agent products
  • Teams automating support or sales follow-up
  • Companies needing email as a dependable channel for software

What to watch out for

  • Automated outbound mail carries legal obligations: consent, identification and working unsubscribe handling under rules such as CAN-SPAM and GDPR, and those sit with you
  • Agent-written replies should be reviewed until you trust them
  • Deliverability depends on domain reputation you build over time

Pros & cons

✓ What we like

  • Real mailbox behaviour including threading
  • Parses HTML bodies and attachments
  • Webhooks and queryable history suit event-driven systems
  • Deliverability records handled by the platform

! What to watch out for

  • Compliance for automated outbound mail is your responsibility
  • Domain reputation still has to be built and protected
