Be clear about the limits here. The official site did not respond when this was written, so none of it came from CSM directly. Cost, how credits are spent, whether output carries a mark, which formats come out, how long material is kept and how it is handled all stay unknown rather than assumed.

The technical point worth understanding is that reconstruction from a single image has to invent whatever it cannot see. A model handed one photograph of a chair produces a plausible back for that chair rather than an accurate one, and the difference only appears once something views the asset from behind.

Commercial rights matter more for a solid-asset generator than for a flat one, because these assets get embedded in products: a game, an application, a store listing, often for years. Establish who holds the geometry and what follows if the terms shift once you have shipped.

Sourcing is the second issue. Uploading a photograph passes on an image that could belong to a client or to another rights holder, and building a model from the likeness of a real object or person raises questions no permission from the platform can settle.

Given that none of this could be read from the company, the practical advice is short: open the site yourself, generate something, and check output quality, formats and the terms before committing a pipeline to it.
